Having Joshua as my trainer has been a great privilege. In terms of “hardware” (movements, routine, nutrition and subject expertise), Joshua has both depth and breadth of knowledge, as what you would expect from an experienced trainer. Under Joshua, I gained almost 8kg of muscle mass and am no longer underweight.

What sets Joshua apart, however, is the “software” of fitness training — he is excellent in reminding me that “progress is not linear”, how fitness is a long-term journey, and how to navigate set backs and speed bumps. Prior to PT, I had been to BFT/HIIT classes for 3/4 years, however, due to degenerative disc disease, I had to take a pause on the classes. Started my PT journey with Brandon Choo, and I would highly recommend Brandon! The environment at FITLUC was were very welcoming and comfortable, and really focuses on the goals that you want to achieve. I have seen a huge improvement in my strength after these few months.

Every class was a progression from the previous, and the classes usually are a mixture of strength and cardio. The class generally ends with strength + cardio exercises. He also helped to correct the form for each exercise if needed and pushes you beyond your limit.

I really enjoyed the PT sessions here and would recommend it to anyone who wish to kickstart their fitness journey or to exercise safely!

Ive been working with Robin for 5 months! Since then Ive upped my muscle mass overall and dropped by body fat percentage too.

I was initially quite skeptical about what I could do, but Robin gently pushed me through tougher and tougher weights beyond what I thought I could. It really gave me the confidence to push harder! He’s also been so supportive of the journey—giving good realistic tips, cheering me on, and answering all my questions. He’s also just super kind and understanding, whenever I need some more time to rest or just collect myself he doesn’t rush me or try to talk me out of it, just patiently waiting until I feel good to go.

After 5 months I cant believe what Ive been able to achieve and really credit all of it to him! Even tho I did consider asking for a female instructor at the start, I’m actually really glad Robin was assigned to me. He made the gym a safe space where I’ll try to continue to push myself!! His quiet encouragement and assurance has made me believe that I can do it too.

Started training with Allen in February and it’s been a game changer. I’d never had a personal trainer before, but he made everything easy to follow and super motivating. Since then, my body fat has decreased while my muscle mass increased. I am more toned and feel way stronger. He also goes above and beyond—like when I had a stiff neck, he used a rod to help loosen up the muscles. He has also recommended me the right type of protein intake to support my goals.
